SHARD COLLECTION
In 1987, at an antique store outside Portland, Oregon, at truck driver lost control of his vehicle, and crashed into the shop’s window, destroying beautiful Art Glass vases, lamps and art objects, all from the Art Nouveau period. The 1900s glass included pieces created by Tiffany, Daum, Galle, Baccarat, Stueben, Quezal, to name a few. I found the shards, and have been creating fiber necklaces out of them, hoping to recycle these lovely pieces of art glass, and bring them back into the world to be appreciated again. This is my collection of those shards.
